COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM

The Haven House community outreach program provides services for our current residents as well as continuing services for former residents and community clients.  These services include counseling, advocacy, housing assistance along with support and education to assist women as they explore their options, plan for a violence free future, and work toward self-sufficiency goals. 

Community Outreach Services:

• Housing and household establishment assistance for shelter residents transitioning to their next living environment

• Follow up counseling, referrals, social services advocacy, court advocacy and accompaniment for former residents

• Individual and/or group counseling for community clients

• Group facilitation for local recovery programs and family service agencies

• Community education, training and consultation
• Participation in conferences and health fairs dealing with women’s issues

• Volunteer training, supervision and coordination
