OUR IMPACT ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Through the vital programs and services Haven House provides, a significant impact has been made on the lives of domestic violence victims, neighborhood youth, and the health and safety of our community.
In 2007-08:
• Over 1,628 calls from battered women were made to the hotline
• Almost 244 calls on behalf of battered women were made to the hotline
• Haven House served 49 women and 87 children who sought a safe haven in the our 45-day emergency shelter
• More than 77 clients grew through counseling provided by Haven House staff
• 49 women and 87 children were assisted with household assistance to move their lives forward
after leaving our shelter
• More than 564 volunteer hours were used to assist the Haven House programs and services
• 173 volunteers and 21 community members received domestic violence training & curriculum (training is approved by The Office Of Criminal Justice Planning)
• The Haven House Education & Prevention Program taught 3,628 youth and 458 adults about Teen Dating Violence & Healthy relationships
